Application of remote sensing techniques for monitoring and management of riparian ecosystems
My main research interests include the assessment of riparian ecological condition using remote sensing tools and geographic information systems. During my PhD I have studied the structural and compositional patterns of riparian forests in near natural areas, but also in disturbed corridors, using different types of remote sensing data. I´m also particularly interest in the remote detection of alien invasive species, especially Arundo donax in riparian buffers.
